Evaluation of a Circulating Filarial Antigen (Wuchereria bancrofti) Test for Lymphatic Filariasis as a part of A multi-country comprehensive field evaluation of the SD Biosensor STANDARD Q lateral flow assay rapid diagnostic test (QFAT)

ICMR-VCRC, as a WHO collaborating centre for research and training in lymphatic filariasis (LF), is involved in conducting field evaluation of vector control tools and diagnostics. As a support to WHO, we carried out the field evaluation of a new rapid diagnostic test to detect W. bancrofti filarial antigen, the STANDARD Q Filariasis Antigen Test (QFAT), developed by SD Biosensor (South Korea). This study aimed to generate data that will determine if the QFAT is a suitable alternative to the current gold standard filariasis test strip (FTS) in GPELF settings.
