The National Clinical Registry for COVID-19 was initiated by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on 1st September 2020, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, All India India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, and the ICMR-National Institute for Research in Digital Health and Data Science (Formerly: ICMR – National Institute of Medical Statistics), with the aim to create a platform that collects good quality, real –time data from across the country regarding COVID-19 illness among hospitalized patients for evidence – based decision making in clinical practice, public health program and policy. The registry collected the sociodemographic, clinical, biochemical parameters, outcome and follow up data of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 across the network 0f 42 hospitals from 2020 to 2024.
Data was collected through an online portal with case record form (CRF), created and maintained by the ICMR- National Institute for Research in Digital Health and Data Science.
There were eight case record form (CRF) for data collection with specific purpose.
Data for 51,781 COVID-19 patients were collected in four years, out of which 15,099 participants followed up at least once during one year after discharge. In addition to the data collected from the admitted patients.
