ICMR-NIRRCH, Multidisciplinary PCOS Clinic Data of 230 women with PCOS
This data is from multidisciplinary PCOS clinic at Indian Council of Medical Research -National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health (ICMR-NIRRCH), Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This data consists of the profile of women with PCOS who attended the clinic, including associated comorbidities and metabolic derangements. Permission for publication of the retrospective data with waiver of consent was obtained from Institutional Ethics Committee as the participants were deidentified. The clinic was financially supported by the intramural grant of the ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai. Data on demographic characteristics, anthropometry, ultrasonography, hormonal and biochemical tests, quality of life, emotional well-being, psychological health using HADS scale, eating disorders, physical activity using GPAQ, Sleep Apnea questionnaire, coping skills using COPE 72 was recorded. Detailed case record form was developed with a digital version. Personal and medical history was noted in the designed case record form. Detail Anthropometry, blood investigations and pelvic and abdominal ultrasonography were done to diagnose the cases based on the Rotterdam criteria. Once the diagnosis of PCOS was made, the women were then counselled about the condition and the need for an integrated multidisciplinary management. They were also screened for metabolic comorbidities with biochemical tests.
Psychological status among these women was clinically assessed by the counsellors for obvious anxiety or depression. PCOS Quality of Life Questionnaire, emotional well-being questionnaire, psychological health HADS scale, eating disorders, physical activity using GPAQ, Sleep Apnea questionnaire, coping skills using COPE 72 were used.
